Arise

Current favourite: Psarise

Just added to my collection; the latest studio release from PS, (unreleased in Malaysia) thanks to Josie Loh..

This cutting edge album features some addictive dance tunes (Majesty) to modern rock/pop anthems. Henry Seeley and his team sure do keep up to their traditions of delivering a superb album featuring 13 tracks of passionate praise & worship that will challenge us to rise up & make a difference.

On another note, here’s somethin i "stole" from Eunice’ blog.., sumthin’ for all u music freaks out there: Quote .

Finally..another stolen stolen item from Josh’ blog: the universal excuse of being late. (u gotta use cantonese for this one..) …–>> Suck_chair

2 Mocha Frap & A Sofa

Friday, March 24th, 2006

One dont need much imagination to know wat the title suggests’ …its of course none other than my StarBucks session with June…a.k.a junejune =p .. dont wanna mention bout how an elderly couple rudely stole my sofa seat when i wanted it badly then..

Its been great spending an afternoon gallivanting in KLCC and satisfying my craze for Burger King.. Had an awesome day just doin some window shopping and the usual drool over Sony stuff at its WINGS outletwalked in the rain tryin’ to get to the now downsized for renovation CanaanLand store when we bumped into June’s favourite/beloved neighbour…kekekeke..Thanks to the jam, it took me close to 2hrs to get outta KL city back home..

Shall include more itinerary in our next outing…! No pix tis time as junejune’s too priceless to be displayed in cyberspace….

Happy Weekend everyone~~!

UNITED We Stand

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

got my hands on a 2cd package promo thingy at City Harvest Singapore last weekend for only SGD35.

*UNITED We Stand album is unreleased in Malaysia yet for the time being..*

Lghsunited7_2  Included in the set are the usual dvd with songs-documentary interview which showcases UNITED in the early ages (`96-2000 era) when they first started and other videos of them in the old days..as well as the live recorded album cd. also packaged together is a UNITED We Stand notebook large enuff for the weekly sermon notes & other stuff.

Not only that..for SGD 35 (which includes UNITED’s cd), i’ve also picked up Casting Crown’s -Lifesong album which is so totally awesome for self devotion times. Kinda have a lil’ feel of U2 in there..Title tracks like Lifesong, Praise You In The Storm and Does Anybody Hear Her will satisfy anyone who has heard and tasted Casting Crowns tunes before. Mark Hall’s vocals are simply superb!Lgcastingcrownslifesong

If the 2 cd cant satisfy, the generous distributors of these contemporary christian cd’s have also thrown in a 19 tracks sample cd featuring the latest hits from artists like Mercy Me, Thrid Day, Cece Winans, Michael W. Smith, POD, and lotsa others..

Now there’s a whole lotta’ tunes to keep up with…! These 2 albums are totally recommended for all ya’ out there with both keeping the traditions & promises to deliver what they do best with their style of music.

Lion City

Dsc06610 was in Singapore for 5 days last weekend with dad, Leo & Josie for a short vacation and couzy’ Melvin’s wedding.

things went exactly as planned as am not interested in visiting places like Sentosa, Haw Par or those sort but just get around in the city…Went round to lotsa places for the past few days with Swee Lee Music & of course City Harvest Church in my list. Clarke Quay’s nightlife rocks with M.O.S. opening a branch there as well as Hooters.

Such a coincidence to have the MOSAIC Music Festival Dsc06590  goin on at the Esplanade the week we’re there. With bands entertaining the crowd nightly at the beachfront park overlooking the city of Singapore. Totally awesome. Orchard Rd was busy as ever with tourist and locals. Dsc06609 Food & Electronics stuff are CHEAP !!!! Anyone wants an IPOD Nano for less than RM 600. Only SGD 210..!! Get the idea now??

Though places like Swee Lee Music (the music superstore) Sweeleefender and City Harvest Church Dsc06814 disallow camera and video…i still managed to get a few pix and video clips..hehe..cant really tell how suprised i was to see ppl rushing and queing up at the Expo hall area an hour before doors open for church on a Sunday! the venue looks more like an indoor stadium arena for some concert rather than the usual sanctuary with its full line array speaker setup and lightings.  (u’ve gotta check out my video clip for this one)..

lazy to blog more of the usual boring text here..check out the pix at: http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/baldwinchua/album?.dir=50c4&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos

New Toy

Sunday, March 5th, 2006

Sonyericsson_w550i presenting…my yummylicious new toy: the w550i Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson.

tucked in this kewl lil’ sliding tangy orange body is a Walkman phone that sounded great compared to any of Nokia or any other mp3 capable phones out there, radio with RDS that displays text thats being broadcast by the stations and a 1.3 megapixel cam. iTs’ also packed wit 256mb of memory and has a great user interface tailored so smartly and practical for all level of menu’s. The 262k color display is brilliant in any light conditions and perfect for any video, pix and the 3D games. Sony has also been very generous by including in the package one the best earphones that one could get from a mobile phone….earphones with earbuds that when worn, one would be completely shut from world while enjoyin the music. A pearl white colored casing is also thrown in for those who prefer less attention than what the orange one is getting..

Who cares bout Symbian now anyway..As I’ve had my NGage QD for more than a year plus..with the occasional Symbian nonsense and crashes, its high time to dispose and move on to sumthin much more practical & eye catching.

Uploading and sharing of data (mp3, pix, videos) is such a breeze with its supplied USB cable and BlueTooth port (much faster than Nokia ones).

Gone are the stacks of cd’s Sony_ericsson_w550i_side3 into this little wonder. (capable of 80+ tracks depending on bitrate). Hooking up the w550i to a bigger sound sys is also an ease as one juz needs to connect the RCA into the supplied mini head phones jack. Still pix & videos are on a mediocre scale with its 1.3megapixel cam but best of all , editing of videos (adding soundtracks, cuts, text) can be done straight on the phone !! Sc003

Not gonna go futher, as u’ve gotta check it out for more cool features~

*its been tough switchin from a loyal Nokia user to this little baby but there’s definitely NO REGRETS*
